Movie posters

At pinkpill design we love cinema and are happy to get a chance to collaborate with various production companies. Here are some movie posters we designed in the past years:

LIBERTAD
by Clara Roquet

Nora is not sure how she is going to survive another summer in her family’s coastal mansion in Spain. Her grandmother is ill and her little sister is such a baby… Hopefully Libertad shows up: she’s from Colombia and she knows how to handle boys. But she is also the maid’s daughter. When they start to befriend, it must stay secret.

THE RUSSIAN JOB
by Petr Horký

Poster design and branding created for a Czech documentary movie, The Russian Job. Swedish manager Bo Inge Andersson comes to the Russian city Toyatti to save the dying car factory. He is asked for a revolution, but he doesn’t know that nothing should change.

The illustration of the poster portrays an unfinished car and a sad manager. It represents desperation and loneliness. The red color represents Russia, and how little have things changed since communism. Apart from the poster, we designed typographical badges, tote bags, and t-shirts. The documentary was presented during IDFA Festival in Amsterdam in November 2017.

LOS DÍAS QUE VENDRÁN
by Carlos Marques-Marcet

Vir finds out she is pregnant. During the next nine months, Vir and Lluis will live their fears, joys, expectations, and realities that, during their pregnancy, grow before them. The poster had to show the pregnancy, the love, and in turn the doubt and the uncertain situation of the characters

DAU—NATASHA
by Ilya Khrzhanovskiy and Jekaterina Oertel

A tale of violence that is as radical as it is provocative. The poster had to be provocative and show some mystery and tension.

JÁMA
by Jiri Stejskal

Documentary about the last family house in the middle of massive construction in the Pozniaki district of Kiev, Ukraine.  The story of a quirky family who are not afraid to fight against developers, the state system and their own problems.

UNA RECETA FAMILIAR
by Eric Khoo

A young man who is curious about his deceased parents’ past takes a food journey to Singapore where he uncovers more than just delicious meals.

The client wanted to show the whole family and the ramen restaurant. Whereby the entire background was made from zero, and the characters were assembled together.

LA MUERTE DE STALIN
by Armando Iannucci

Moscow, 1953. After being in power for nearly thirty years, Soviet dictator Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin (Adrian McLoughlin) takes ill and quickly dies. Now the members of the Council of Ministers scramble for power.

For the Spanish version, more importance was given to the main characters of the film, adding Olga Kurylenko. The poster should be serious and show the Soviet style but without hiding the “comedy” tone of the film.
